I’m A Celebrity 2017 line-up: Who is in I’m A Celeb this year? Are these the contestants?
I’M A CELEBRITY 2017 is nearly upon us again as a new bunch of celebs get ready to head into the jungle, but who will be heading to the jungle?
Rumours have been flying about about the big names going into the Australian bush this time around and enduring the gut-churning Bushtucker Trials.
Last year Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt was named Queen of the Jungle after she won over the British public with her good-natured attitude to the tasks.
The 27-year-old beat stand-up comedian Joel Dommett and Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas to win the ITV show.
This year’s glittering line-up is said to feature reality stars, soap actors and even a politician. Here are all the latest rumours about who’s taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!this year.
Gemma Collins
The TOWIE star, 36, is reported to be making a return to the camp that she abandoned after just three days back in 2014.
She is reportedly keen to “prove herself and set the record straight” and is 5/4 odds on to join the line-up according to Betfair.
Craig Charles
The Red Dwarf and Coronation Street star, 53, also made an early exit from the jungle camp in 2014 when family tragedy struck with the death of his brother.
He has always expressed a desire to go back in and this could be his year, previously saying: “I’ve just been asked if I’ll go back in the Jungle again.”
“Because that was cut short… and never say never, you know?”
Phillip Schofield
The This Morning presenter, 55, said that he would go on the show however he admitted he couldn’t deal with the metal cutlery.
Speaking on the ITV breakfast show recently, he said: “I would do it, and I would eat all the business.
“I can’t do it because they all have metal billy cans and the metal spoons and then it goes right through me. I couldn’t do that.”
Lauren Goodger
Gemma could have company if the rumours are to be believed with Lauren, 31, apparently wanting to beat her ex-boyfriend and fellow TOWIE star Mark Wright by winning the competition this year.
“She’s hell-bent on going one better than Mark and becoming more famous than him and says she won’t give up until she is,” a source told Close Magazine.
Jenny McAlpine
The Coronation Street actress is better known as the loveable Fiz Brown but the soap star has been reported to have signed the dotted line.
“Jennie’s been on the wish-list for some time and, after a lot of persuasion, she’s agreed to take part this year,” an insider told The Sun.
They added: “Corrie have given it the green light because they’ve been able to reschedule her storyline filming so everything has finally fallen into place.”
Charlotte Crosby
The Geordie Shore fixture, 27, could be hoping to mirror the success of Vicky Pattison, who won the in 2015.
“She’s nervous but so excited at the same time! She never thought she’d get a chance to go on the show because she thought they wouldn’t take her on because she’s done other reality shows like Big Brother,” according to an insider speaking to The Sun.
Jonny Mitchell
From Love Island to the jungle, the 26-year-old could find himself taking part in some pretty brutal tasks compared to the ITV2 show.
Mike Thalassitis
Equally, Mike, 24, could be making his way Down Under if the reports are true about him signing up.
Ed Balls
He wowed the nation on Strictly Come Dancing but the Labour politician, 50, could soon to trying his luck on a very different kind to reality show.
